Every spring, western Holland explodes into a riot of colour. Nowhere are the flowers and colours more glorious than at Keukenhof Gardens. We board the boat at Lisse for a cruise to the gardens taking tea and tart on board. We spend the rest of the day in this dazzling horticultural extravaganza. The park is ablaze with red, yellow, pink and purple as over six million tulips and mixed flowering bulbs burst into bloom. Here you can find endless inspiration whilst you relax in beautiful surroundings, or perhaps pick up a few handy tips to take home. Keukenhof’s spring flowers blend beautifully into a background of landscaped gardens, flowering shrubs and water features including a large lake. We also include a tour through the delightful, springtime Dutch countryside with a picture-perfect landscape, crisscrossed with canals, dotted with windmills and fishing villages, including Volendam where colourful traditional costumes may still be spotted! We also visit a traditional cheese farm and clog-maker and enjoy a buffet lunch.
