Belgian Christmas Markets
Friday 17th December 2010
Christmas time in Belgium
is really an experience you
cannot miss. The people
are friendly and the food is
fantastic. We stop off at
Antwerp with stalls selling
local products and unusual
gifts. Our base is in Mechelen,
perhaps still slightly less well
known than some Belgian
cities, with warm hospitality and plenty to see and do. The
large square by Europe’s tallest Gothic Church has evening
carol concerts so don’t miss out on the festive atmosphere.
We explore the Capital, Brussels, which delights with its
yuletide festivities and displays. We also visit Ghent with a
smaller Christmas Market amongst its attractive shopping
centre. All in all a great addition to our festive programme!
