This is a diverse tour which covers the historic
cities of Cambridge and Ely along with a National
Stud tour and a visit to the Imperial War Museum
at Duxford. We include a guided visit to
Cambridge, discovering the most important
aspects of this University City followed by free
time for sightseeing or shopping. We travel to Ely
with its spectacular Norman cathedral and to the
National Stud, a showcase for British
Thoroughbred breeding. 500 acres of prime pastureland on the edge of Newmarket is
host to up to 200 mares and 8 stallions during this important breeding event. You
will learn about the history of the stud, the breeding process, see prize winning horses
and foals and get unparalleled insight into the exciting world of British racing. We also
see some of the wonderful Cambridgeshire towns including St Ives and St Neots.
