The Mighty Wurlitzer Christmas Concert
Thursday 2 December 2010
This is a charming afternoon matinee combined with an early evening tour.
It is a wonderful moment when a hush falls in the auditorium and first hear the distant but unmistakable
tones of The Mighty Wurlitzer moments before it begins to rise majestically from the orchestra pit just as it
once did at the cinema - in this particular case The Regal Kingston-upon-Thames. The concert
programme includes seasonal tunes, novel pieces and entertaining comic monologues designed to
demonstrate the vast range and musical capability of this amazing organ.
This is an unusual, charming and beautifully presented concert guaranteed to put a smile on your face this
Christmas.
