The city also holds two UNESCO accreditations: the historic waterfront is a world heritage site, and Liverpool is a UNESCO City of Music.
Liverpool is possibly most famous for its musical connections, including The Beatles and Cilla Black. Visit the Cavern Club on Mathew Street, and take a picture with the Cilla Black statue outside the original entrance. And you cant come to Liverpool without experiencing some Beatlemania, whether its at The Beatles Story museum, on the Magical Mystery Tour of notable landmarks such as Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields, or at the newly opened Magical History Museum, featuring one of the largest singularly owned Beatles collections in the world.
A must for any Liverpool FC fans and certainly an interesting visit for supporters of any side: Anfield offers a stadium tour and visit The Liverpool FC Story museum, showcasing 126 years of the clubs history. The museum features a new Steven Gerrard collection, donated by the captain himself and including shirts, medals, trophies and more. The museum also pays a touching tribute to the 96 people who lost their lives at Hillborough.
Today we start our journey to the hotel, making a lunch stop in the charming town of Stratford-upon-Avon. With more than 800 years of history, Stratford contains many surviving buildings that would have been familiar in Shakespeare's day, but also a thriving modern community offering a wide variety of leisure, shopping and dining experiences. On arrival at the hotel we will be welcomed with tea or coffee and enjoy dinner at the hotel.D

Spend a second day in Liverpool, or join us on an optional excursion to Tatton Park. This historical estate features a neo-classical mansion, 50 acres of landscaped Gardens, 1000 acres of deer park and a rare breeds farm. Tatton Park is now one of the most complete historic estates open to visitors. Entrance is not included but can be added during the booking process.
We return to Liverpool late afternoon, once again giving you a chance to try one of the city's restaurants for dinner.
Today we make our return journey home, stopping in Royal Leamington Spa for lunch. Wide boulevards, stunning architecture and award-winning parks provide a sophisticated backdrop to the Regency town. Often described as 'the best bits of London, all in a ten-minute walk' Leamington town centre combines a treasure-trove of independent boutiques and high street brands plus an array of cafes and restaurants.B
