The Queen's Diamond Jubilee & The Waldorf
|
| A wonderful 2 days in London over the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations weekend |
Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her Diamond Jubilee in 2012, marking six decades on the throne. This super coach break gives you the opportunity to be a part of the celebrations and explore the city at your own leisure.
The spectacle begins with the awe-inspiring Queen’s River Pageant and Thames Flotilla on Sunday. Over a thousand decorated boats will sail down the River Thames with the Queen’s barge at its head and will finish with a Jubilee Gun Salute at Tower Bridge. Monday’s events include a BBC concert in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. You will only be attending that if you've been fortunate enough to get a ticket in the public ballot, but it's expected that everyone will be able to enjoy the fantastic event on big screens erected in Hyde Park.* There will be many smaller celebrations around the city or you have time at leisure to explore the iconic sights, world-class museums and shopping opportunities of London.
This itinerary is based on the information currently available. We reserve the right to amend it once plans for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations have been finalised. * Timings to be confirmed. |
